Apple WWDC 2018: WWDC is one of two major events Apple hosts every year to preview new version iOS and macOS, along with tvOS and watchOS.The WWDC is an opportunity for Apple to share its vision of software. Consumers get a preview of the next software rollout for iPhones, Mac, Apple Watch, and AppleTV.

It’s officially June now and the WWDC 2018 is here. Apple to preview its latest software on Monday, June 4th, 2018 at the San Jose Convention Center. The WWDC 2018 Keynote starts at 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT on June 4th, 2018. We’ll see the latest version of iOS (iOS 12), as well as the latest version of MacOS, tvOS, and watchOS.

The iOS update is usually the main highlight of WWDC. According to the latest rumors, the next major iOS update to focus on improving Performance and Reliability. The iOS 12 will be the first major update to iOS following the introduction of the iPhone X. We may see some new functionality for the iPhone X’s Gesture Interface.

As per the latest reports and rumors, there are still some new AR and health features in the works for the iOS 12. We may see a Redesigned Home Screen or Updates to Bundled Apps. A new report claims that Apple is going to make a new “Digital Health” feature much like Google in Android P. Apple may be opening up NFC to developers in addition with a Better Notification Support.


Apple to revamp Siri and open to third-party apps and services, to provide better answers to questions.

ARKit 2.0


We’re also expecting ARKit 2.0. Apple has been working on shared AR experiences that allow multiple people to step into the same AR world. We might see ARKit 2.0 at WWDC 2018. Apple has reportedly started work on AR/VR headset slated for release in 2020.

watchOS 5

Apple to preview the new version of watchOS, the watchOS 5. Rumor from MacRumors claims that Spotify may be coming to the Apple Watch alongside a new “StreamKit” framework in watchOS 5. There’s a high chance of New Watch Faces and Fitness Features in the next watchOS update (watchOS 5).

macOS 10.14



The latest macOS rumors claim that Apple will be implementing integration between Mac and iOS apps in macOS 10.14. Developers will be able to Create apps that run on iPhones, iPads and as well as on Macs.



Apple has said before that Dolby Atmos is coming to Apple TV, so that might be something to look forward to. Apple’s streaming service is not expected to launch until in 2019.

Apple might announce the iPhone SE 2 at WWDC 2018. If not we might see the iPhone SE 2 in Apple’s iPhone Event in September alongside Apple Flagship Smartphones.


Apple Airpower

Apple announced AirPower alongside the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. But Apple delayed the launch of AirPower due to some issues with the AirPower Wireless Charging Pad. There’s still no word from Apple on launching it. Apple may announce the launch date of Airpower Wireless Charging Pad at WWDC 2018.
